Lynn Web Scholarship
ENSURING OPPORTUNITIES FOR OTHERS
Lynn Webb’s ’14 intention to enter pastoral ministry was interrupted by a life changing accident. She suffered a severe brain injury and describes the experience as what St. John of the Cross called “the dark night of the soul.” With the support of her husband she began a slow recovery and sought to get back to her seminary studies. “I would not be here today without Moravian,” says Lynn. “Hebrew helped restore my brain.” There are few of us who would say the same!
But God works in strange and mysterious ways. Graduating with a Certificate in Spiritual Direction, Lynn is particularly thankful for the Spiritual Direction and Formative Spirituality classes she experienced. In fact, she views them as so important she and her husband Kerry have just set up the Lynn E. Webb Endowed Scholarship Fund to ensure that people preparing for congregational ministry have the opportunity to develop their spiritual direction and formative spirituality skills. Ordinary people living ordinary lives transformed by the power of God. Thank you Lynn and Kerry for sharing your story and sharing your gratitude with MTS.
